process

here's how
it works

the introduction

Let’s talk !  We will schedule a time to chat over the phone and get to know each other a little better.  We want to know all about you and your project. Where is your project located ? When are you hoping to start ? What is the scope of the work you would like us to help you with? What is the budget for your job ?  Do you have inspirational photos/ ideas you are hoping to incorporate into your renovation/new build? We need as many details as you can give us to help make the designing process as efficient as possible.  If you have Pinterest or Houzz boards to help describe the idea for your renovation, we would love to see them!

the initial consult

Once we have had time to review your project details, we will set up a time to meet. Your designer will come out to your home to review more details in person, take measurements and talk a little more about the design, fees and timelines.  At this time, we would like to know the full scope of work so we can start to prepare a proposal and get the drawing process started. This is also a good time to learn about any contractors or other trades people who you might have working on the project.  We believe collaboration and great communication is the key to a successful renovation!

the creative phase

Our proposal is accepted, we have your details, now it is time for us to design! We will create 3D drawings of your space allowing you to ‘see’ all the changes you are envisioning with your renovation.  We will meet to check in and review the drawing to make sure we are on point with your vision.  Once the revisions are done, we can start to pick out finishes and complete the overall design.  Showroom visits are necessary to see finishes in person and pick out the perfect shade, colour, texture for all your surfaces.

Once the design is confirmed, we can get your contracts completed and move on to the ordering phase.  With our timelines in check, we will make sure all necessary items are ordered well in advance to avoid any unnecessary delays in the process.  All along checking in with other trades and your contractor to make sure we are all on the same page.

the install

This is a process!  Unfortunately, most renovations do not get completed in one day (as seen on TV). Part of our role is to make sure that all components of the install are running smoothly, and if a problem occurs, the best solution is found quickly.  This is an exciting time for home owners and we want to make sure this is as stress free as possible for you.  We will be here to facilitate all of the trades, orders, deliveries, so you can sit back and watch it all come together.

the follow up

After everything is installed and finished we want to know how much you love your new space. We will be checking in to make sure you are thrilled with everything!

CONNECT WITH SHANNON

Grateful

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL.

"What I appreciated most about Shannon was that she listens to the client’s plans, wishes and concerns thereby easing our concerns about the construction process. During the planning and execution of these projects we were in frequent contact with Shannon through telephone, email, and multiple site visits. Shannon has always made herself readily available throughout the design and construction process. She has the skill of blending client wishes and concerns with her practical knowledge, expertise and experience in design and construction. Through her professional manner and her infinite patience she was able to take our ideas blended with her knowledge of design and form to produce a result that, in the end, is both functional and beautiful."
